The role that universities play in the current climate crisis is relevant, since in addition to generating knowledge, they can help society face this problem and train socially and environmentally responsible professionals. In this sense, it is essential that educational institutions are coherent, this means, if classes teach how to care for the environment, the university also generates sustainable initiatives and programs that ensure respect for the planet. Taking this into account and reaffirming its social and environmental responsibility, the Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) held the 2021 Innovation for Climate Change Social Responsibility Forum.
Responsible university that works in favor of Mexico The UVM has been recognized by the CEMEFI Socially Responsible Company (ESR) badge for twelve consecutive years, and held this event, from November 22 to 24, with the aim of generating proposals for solutions and actions that have a positive impact for social well-being.
